2014 Colorado Trip – Cadillac Ranch Amarillo, Texas

The fourth stop on day one of my 2014 Colorado Trip, the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. This is my third time here and it’s always cool to see. It seem different every time.

The ten half buried cadillac at the same angle as the Great Pyramid of Giza stand along interstate 40 west of Amarillo, Texas (The old Route 66). In 1974 The Ant Farm, a group of art-hippies from San Francisco & backed by billionaire Stanley Marsh, built the Cadillac Ranch as a tribute to the evolution of the Cadillac tail fin.

It is worth the stop here to see and be sure to bring a can of spray paint to make your mark. Also be sure to stop by the VW Slug Bug Ranch East of Amarillo, Texas
